What is OTS Innovation and when was it founded?

OTS Innovation is a virtual-based technology mentorship and training company founded in 2020. Our mission is to empower Africans through tech scholarships, mentorship, and opportunity-driven programs, removing barriers and unlocking potential to build meaningful careers in technology. We focus on growing tech talent across the continent and have trained over 5,000 Nigerians and Africans with practical skills and real-world opportunities.

Yes, all OTS Innovation programs are tuition-free thanks to our tech scholarships. Accepted learners only pay for very affordable learning materials required during the training. We also have a physical office and innovation hub at the OTS Innovation, Faculty of Management Sciences, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, for in-person support and community activities when possible.

Every course includes a mandatory 3-month internship after the core training phase. During this period, students work on real-world projects, collaborate in cohort teams, and build strong portfolios. We also provide dedicated training in freelancing and job-hunting skills, such as accessing platforms, client communication, pitching, and positioning for freelance or remote opportunities—ensuring graduates are ready to earn and grow in the tech industry.

Learners are organized into cohorts of about 20 students each, fostering teamwork, accountability, and collective growth. Cohorts meet twice a week to practice skills, work on group projects, share challenges, and support one another. This collaborative environment mirrors real-world innovation, where great solutions come from shared ideas and mutual encouragement—you're never learning alone.

We deliberately choose "the hard way"—focusing on discipline, responsibility, courage, and solving real-world problems rather than easy paths. Our core values include Action over excuses, Discipline, Courage, Impact, and Access. Our motto is "No Limits. No Excuses. Just Action." We believe everyone can make a difference through consistent effort, and we train people not just for jobs, but to create value, build solutions, and drive change in their communities and across Africa.

Our leadership includes Olisa Macaulay (CEO), Miracle (Technical Director – Virtual Assistance), Eammiul (Product Manager), Million Dollar (Digital Marketing Lead), Olowa Dey (Front-End Team Lead), Hilson (Back-End Team Member), and Geogel Procesu (Digital Marketing Team Member). The team provides hands-on mentorship, cohort guidance, and project support. We emphasize youth-driven collaboration and guide learners through people who are actively doing the work in tech.
